Reference Digital Replay — Simplified
The Wadax Studio Player brings much of the technology and musical performance of Wadax’s flagship digital systems into an elegant single-chassis solution.
Combining CD and SACD replay, high-resolution network streaming and reference-quality digital-to-analogue conversion, the Studio Player can become the complete digital source at the heart of a truly high-end music system.
Wadax Reference Technology
Derived from technologies developed for the acclaimed Wadax Atlantis Reference series, the Studio Player employs Wadax’s proprietary musIC processing architecture, with sophisticated 128-bit processing and feed-forward error correction designed to address timing, phase and amplitude errors within the digital signal.
Its fully balanced dual-mono architecture maintains separation between left and right channels throughout the digital and analogue sections, supported by an exceptionally sophisticated low-noise power-supply architecture.
The result is digital reproduction with the natural texture, dimensionality, dynamics and musical flow for which Wadax has become renowned.
One Player — Every Digital Source
The Studio Player combines:
- CD & SACD playback
- High-resolution network streaming
- Reference-quality DAC
- Qobuz Connect, Tidal, Spotify & UPnP
- Roon Ready & Audirvana compatibility
- Balanced XLR analogue output
- Fixed or variable output
- Selectable 1V, 2V or 4V output levels
- Multiple selectable output impedances
- RCA, BNC & AES/EBU digital outputs
- 5-inch full-colour touchscreen
The unusually comprehensive choice of analogue output impedance allows the Studio Player to be optimised to the partnering amplification rather than relying on a conventional fixed output interface.
Designed to Evolve
The Studio Player is exceptional as a standalone digital source but also provides a clear upgrade path.
It can be partnered with the optional Wadax Studio PSU via the proprietary Akasa DC interface and further enhanced with the dedicated Wadax Studio Clock, allowing the system to evolve as required.
